A few weeks ago my family and I went on a short cruise to Bruges, Belgium. It is safe to say the pretty city did not disappoint - I only wish I got to spend more time there.
The ship arrived at the Port of Zeebrugge, in Belgium, where we then had to take a short train to get into Bruges itself. What struck me the most is how calm and clean the streets were, as well as being a very sunny day, it made the overall experience that much more enjoyable. Flower lined canals, cobbled streets, horse-drawn carriages and copious amounts of shops selling Belgian chocolate would be Bruges summed up in a sentence. We also took a canal ride, at a mere 8 euros, in order to see the most of the town as we only had a few hours there. I would definitely go back to this pretty part of Europe to appreciate it all the more.
