Dublin is one of those places I have always wanted to go but has never been particularly high on the list - until I went for a week in early June.
We stayed in Blooms Hotel in Temple Bar which was the perfect location, a ten minute walk to everything! (Other than the Guinness Storehouse which was about twenty, absolute joke - I know). With my mind soon changed about this great city, I thought I would write a post about our time there!
THINGS TO DO:
Temple Bar
The whole Temple Bar area is definitely a tourist hotspot but one worth visiting! Drenched with pubs, bars, restaurants and shops, you can't go wrong here.
Trinity College Library
Being students, we felt it would be rude not to visit one of Dublin's most famous universities and the beautiful library that comes with it.
The Guinness Storehouse
A tad pricey but worth every penny (even if you don't like Guiness, which I do not).
National Gallery of Ireland
A lovely gallery with lovely artwork and lovely potential Instagram's.
PLACES TO DINE & DRINK:
Skinflint
One of our nicest dinners, Skinflint has the best flatbread pizzas, cocktails and a fantastic Spotify playlist.
The Oak
For our last night in the city we wanted to find a pretty place that does nice cocktails...
Fonte
We did plan on going to The Larder for brunch (which I have heard is nice) but it was closed. Thankfully, we saw Fonte across the road to satisfy our hunger and look after us while we waited to leave for our flight!
Other Recommendations: The Good Food Co., Dublin Castle, St. Stephen's Green, Oscar Wilde statue.
