Ten Things To Do In Paris

Ahhh, Paris. The city of love, history and... tourists. I have only been once a few years ago yet I remember everything quite vividly. Paris is a must for anybody to visit and, regardless of it not being my favourite city, no doubt I will visit again in my lifetime! So I thought I would compile a list of 'Ten Things To Do In Paris'.

The Library of Birmingham

Last week I went for an applicant open day at the University of Birmingham which I thoroughly enjoyed. After we looked around the university, went to English Literature talks and taster lectures, we decided to explore the city of Birmingham!

Pride and Prejudice

I wanted my first book review to be a novel I, and many others, have a high regard for. With the opening line, ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife’ being one of the most famous in English literature, I present to you... Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. I recently finished reading this classic and honestly did not want it to end. Sometimes I cannot see why some novels are classics (don't tell my English teacher) but with its wonderful balance of romance, wit, humour, drama and controversy, Pride and Prejudice truly fits the bill.

A Mundane Introduction

Firstly, welcome to my blog!

I have been debating whether to start a blog for a while now and after my failed attempt at a photography blog, I simply stuck to Flickr. However, I have a renewed sense of spirit (as everyone seems to be blogging at the moment) and shall accept this challenge.

I aim to make this blog primarily about books but will most probably post some of my writing, photography and maybe even travel. The world of blogging is my oyster.

Seeing as I aim to study English Literature at university, writing a blog should, in theory, develop my style and techniques whilst endeavouring to make my posts as aesthetically pleasing as possible.

(I tried to use as many big words as possible to make it seem like I know what I am doing)

(I don’t)

Hope you enjoy!
